The vital starting point for exploring the Angevin vineyards, the Maison du Vin de l’Anjou – located opposite the Château d'Angers – will present you with the "Route Touristique du Vignoble de l'Anjou". You will be offered a tasting, to give you a foretaste of the vineyards
The Savennières, the finest of the wines of the Angers district
A dry or semi-dry white and proud of it, Savennières comes from a Chenin grape and owes its character to its land, whose exposed slopes are perpendicular to the Loire. It’s a pleasure to wander among the vineyards, around the villages and old churches, skirting the properties and parks. Savennières is to be drunk cool but not iced (10 to 12°) with any fish, smoked meat or white meat, goat’s cheese and blue cheeses. And try it with warm “rillauds”…
